Registered Designers and Registered Contractors Joint Submission
Recognition of joint working relationship between BALI Registered Designers and Contractors. This joint submission must have been designed by a BALI Registered Designer and built by BALI Registered Contractor. The design will be assessed followed by a site visit.

The clients were sensitive to local objections when this house was built in 2014. It is now popular with neighbours because the garden is lush and green again with mature trees and climbers beginning to cover house walls. Access was very difficult. No machinery could be taken down to the back garden so dig-out and spoil had to be removed by hand. Very large mature hollies, a bespoke large metal pergola and all York stone had to be brought in the same way.
The pergola and tall plants have brought the garden up to the level of an existing deck and supply a shady private garden beneath. The direction of the patterned paving draws the eye to a bespoke stone wall with cantilevered stone seat. A previously incomplete area left unusable by housebuilders is now a useful store place with ecogrid, gravel and concrete flags.
