COTTONMILL SPA

This exclusive membership spa is attached to a well-established, privately owned hotel. The brand new spa and treatment building, together with its completely new spa garden, is aimed at the top end of the spa market. Although relatively compact, the garden, which was designed by Ann-Marie Powell, features private day beds, two hot tubs and an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, as well as relaxation areas and a gas fire-pit. Precise and detailed hard landscape construction is clearly evident around the existing protected trees, in the water features and in the intricate porcelain paving, creating an intimate, secluded and calming space. The contractor carried out all aspects of the hard and soft landscaping, including the installation of complex irrigation and lighting systems. Working to tight deadlines and balancing the logistics of car park resurfacing works during the programme, this was a challenging project, both technically and logistically.
