Nature Conservation & Biodiversity Enhancement

This is a project that demonstrates a significant contribution to the conservation or the enhancement of biodiversity.

It should embody the principles of sustainable development using innovative concepts. The judges will be looking for evidence of any biodiversity net gains and a clear definition of any innovation in environmental design.

There must be strong evidence of commitment to environmental sustainability. The long-term management strategy needs to be clearly defined, along with proof of monitoring processes.

There needs to be a clear, unambiguous, statement demonstrating the projects contribution to conservation or biodiversity, which must be evidence-based.

The project can be either stand alone or part of a wider environmental improvement strategy. However, the project’s boundaries must be clearly defined and should have been implemented within the last five years.
